• Galleria Sciarra

The Galleria Sciarra is conveniently located in Rome and is well worth visiting! Near the spectacular yet busy Trevi Fountain, but hidden in plain sight, is this peaceful, lovely patio.

Stepping inside the pretty plain (at least for Rome) exterior will reveal magnificent Art Nouveau frescoes created by Giuseppe Cellini in the late 19th century in the courtyard.

• Vicus Caprarius

The charming and quiet Vicus Caprarius, which is only a short stroll from the Trevi Fountain, feels miles away from the hubbub of Rome's tourist attractions.

These ancient Roman subterranean remains, which were just uncovered in 1999, provide a fascinating glimpse at Rome's (literal) strata.

• Basilica di San Clemete

The Basilica di San Clemente, where you can physically see them, best captures how many levels there are in Rome.

You may see the church from the fourth century as well as the stunning modern basilica, which was constructed exactly on top of it. ... some of the Roman remnants from the house that the church from the fourth century was erected on top of!

• Palazzo Doria Pamphilj 

The Palace Doria Pamphilj, which is concealed in plain sight like the Galleria Sciarra, is unquestionably at the top of our list of the finest hidden jewels in Rome.

This palace is located a short distance from the well-known Piazza Venezia, yet despite its spectacular facade, it blends in with the rest of Rome's stunning architecture.

• Duomo Milan Tour

While this tour is widely popular, there is something truly mysterious once you enter it. The Duomo Milan Tour is a jackpot for people looking for hidden spots. From story-based glass-stained windows to zodiac tiles only revealed during sunlight to horror tales, there is no end to it.

• Capuchin Crypt

One of Rome's most distinctive, memorable sights is the Capuchin Crypt.

It is also the epitome of going off the beaten road in Rome because it is one of the least visited crypts.
