The Corbett is one of the most popular wildlife planet to enjoy the scenic beauty. The park has been spread over 520.8 square kilometers and is known for the rich and varied flora and fauna. The fauna of the park includes the evergreen Sal (Shorea robusta)and all the associated trees, the Sheesam (Dalbergia sissoo), Kanju (Holoplete integrifolia). The other trees in the park which are extensively found in the ridges like Ber (Zizyphus mauritians), dhak (Butea monosperma) and bael (Aegle marmelos). The other important trees are simal (Bombax cibea), Jhingan (Lannea coromandelica) and Khair (Acacia catechu) that blooms in the spring season that starts just before the summer season.

The Sal and Sheesam is the most important characters of the north India is the timber trees which is grown in abundance in North India. The green leaves of Rohini which is an associate tree of the Sal and is the favorite for the elephants in the park. The another floral characteristic of the Corbett national park is the 'Charus' better known as the flat grassy blank of herbs and tall and short grasses which works as the grazing ground for the herbivores. Another important plant of the Corbett National Park which is found along the nullahs and ravines that provides both the fodder for the wilds of the Corbett National Park. There are also many such forest trees like palas, amaltas and kachnar that blossoms in the spring season and also adds to the beauty of the Corbett National Park.

Fauna of the park:

The Corbett National Park is considered as the well protected and also the leading attractions of the country. The park has been developed by the Jim Corbett on the Himalayan mountain range and is the most visited site in the country. The fauna of the park includes the mammals, birds, reptiles and fishes.

Mammals: The mammals in Corbett National Park includes the Sloth Bear, Himalayan Black Bear, Dhole Jackal, Yellow Throated Martem, Himalayan Palm Civet, Indian Grey Mongoose, Common Otter, Porcupine, Clack taped Hare, Chital, Spotted Dear, Para, Kakka and the Barking Dear.

Birds: The Peacock, Jungle Fowl, Partridge, Kaleej Peasant, crow, vulture, parakeet, Laughing thrush, Oriole, kingfisher, dove, drongo, woodpecker, duck, stork, teal, seagull and cormorant are the most popular species of the Corbett National Park.

Reptiles: The reptiles in the park includes the Indian Crocodile, Ghariyal, King Cobra, Russels Viper, Python and the monitor lizard are the popular reptiles of the park.
