In the event that a flight is cancelled with less than 24 hours to go, the customer is entitled to a full refund. Your departure date cannot be changed once you've made a reservation. You can only get a refund from American Airlines if you cancel your ticket at least three hours prior to departure.
Travelers who purchased tickets to or from the United States will receive a refund of their money within one week of reporting.
A traveller who purchased a non-refundable ticket on American Airlines is not eligible for a refund. The prices will change depending on where you live and the level of customization you choose.
