The Engineering Executive or EngExec is a grade that comes with recognition for pre-eminent individuals who are working in executive positions and have shown excellent leadership and talent.

After an outstanding career led to a senior leadership position, attaining the grade of EngExec is the next step in your career.

This credential is not restricted to engineering professionals. In fact, it can include senior business leaders working in the engineering sector, but who are not engineers.

Receiving the level EngExec also presents an opportunity to play a major role in shaping the future of the Australian engineering profession.

The exclusive nature of this grade means that opportunity to apply for it is given to only a select group of individuals on an invitation-only basis.

Application process and eligibility criteria:

If you are eligible for this position, you will get a detailed invitation letter that will explain how to apply for the ExeExec grade.

You are not required to be a member of Engineers Australia to be invited to apply for the ExeExec grade. However, if you are not already a member, you will have to join as an Engineers Australia member in the application process.

As per the required eligibility criteria, you need to have 15 or more years of industry experience and be in a management and senior role. In addition, you must be able to demonstrate the needed management and leadership competencies for EngExec and complete a self-assessment if you have been invited to apply.

Professional interview:

A professional interview with an EA assessor is the last step for you to attain an EngExec grade.

Engineers Australia will contact you for fixing a time for your professional interview with one of its assessors, and you will get an invitation to the online Teams or Skype interview.

This interview will take nearly one hour and will include a wide discussion concerning your engineering career and your responses to the questions that are listed in the self-assessment form.

Fees:

The fee you need to pay to apply for the EngExec Engineers Australia credential is $1925 if you are a member of Engineers Australia. On the other hand, you need to pay $2200 if you are not a member of Engineers Australia including GST. This fee is inclusive of the yearly membership fee for the rest of the financial year.
