Path of Exile has won over a lot of players with its highly customizable endgames and seasonal events like the Win-Win Gambler Arena. There are many players who will prepare some Path of Exile Currency before entering the game. Sentinel, an expansion pack coming out this May, brings a new, seemingly more direct way to challenge yourself. This is a backpack full of expendable drones that empower enemies while filling players with bonus items.

For players launching new characters in this league, they will quickly find Sentinels dropped as monster loot. Each of these small drones has a color to show its behavior, power level, and various modifiers and perks that change the way it behaves. Equipped with special slots with their own hotkeys, these drones can be deployed at almost any time during combat, spice up the player’s current encounter. However, this also means that the difficulty increases, and players need to prepare more POE Currency to expand their strength.

Red “Stalker” Sentinels hover near you for a minute, buffing any enemies they spot for a relatively controlled rampage. The blue “Magic” Sentinels activate immediately, providing buffs to every enemy on the screen, sometimes even beyond the screen. Yellow “Apex” Sentinels behave similarly to Red Sentinels, but will only target Rare, or Boss Badgers, not feed alone. Each type of Sentinel can only be deployed once per area, so you can choose which battles to spice up.

Sentinel does eventually drain the battery after many uses. A new crafting item called Power Core allows players to scrap two depleted Sentinels into a new item. There are several types of cores that change how the robotic splicing process works. There are also rare “reassembler” items that allow players to perform this stitching process on devices of the same type that they don’t need. Players can go to POECurrency to Buy Exalted Orbs before waiting for the new expansion to arrive. In addition, players can also learn useful news and strategies there.
