On what factors does the baggage allowance with Emirates depend?
The following criteria will be used to determine the luggage limits for your Emirates flight:
- If the passengers were flying first class or in the clouds, they would have the same experience.
- The plane's present position and its destination
- International and domestic flights inside the country
Free baggage allowance
Checked-in luggage
Economy class
Two bags, totaling no more than 158 centimetres (62 inches) in combined dimensions and weighing no more than 23 kilogrammes (50 pounds), may be checked by passengers flying in Economy Class.
Business class
- Emirates' business class fliers in 'Cloud Nine' can bring either
- There are two bags totaling 32 kilogrammes (approximately 70 pounds) in weight.
Two and a half bags, each weighing approximately 50 pounds (23 kilogrammes).
However, the largest dimension of all the bags put together must not go beyond 158 centimetres (62 inches).
Carry-on luggage
Economy class
The maximum combined length, width, and height of a passenger's carry-on bag in economy class is 118 centimetres (46 inches).
Business class
Each Cloud Nine passenger is permitted two bags in the cabin, each of which may weigh no more than 7 kilogrammes and may not exceed 118 centimetres (46 inches) in length, width, or height.
Items that you can carry free of charge
You can bring more than the allowed amount of free luggage on Emirates Business Class flight without paying any extra fees. Some examples are:
- a little pouch for transporting items
- a little digital camera
- Binoculars
- Enough books, newspapers, magazines, novels, etc., to read throughout the flight
- Baby food and a travel basket for young passengers
- A wheelchair with a full foldable design (for usage in a small space, such as a cabin).
- Crutches
- Additional prosthetic aids for individuals who require them
- You are only allowed one laptop and no other accessories.
Excess baggage policy
- If your carry-on bag weighs more than the allowed limit, the airline will check the extra items for you. The maximum weight of cabin luggage is 7 kilogrammes.
- If you have more baggage than is allowed, you will have to either pay extra or leave some of your belongings at home.
- Excess baggage fees might cost up to USD 60 per kilogramme, depending on your departure city, final destination, and ticket class.
