The 51st Kona Coffee Festival Cupping Competition was highlighted by Kona Farm Direct's victory in the Classic Division.
In the category devoted to innovative small-scale farms, Kona Farm Direct took home the top prize.The Mokka fruit-dried variety had a score of 86.42.Within a margin of less than 1.5 points, the ten best coffees in the division were scored.
Among the 66 coffees entered in the competition, a collection of original varieties and experimental processing techniques earned the highest scores.

Ka'awaloa Trail Farm won the Kona Heritage Award for its parchment-dried (washed) Typica variety in honor of Kona coffee's traditional cultivation methods.Ka'awaloa Trail Ranch completed fifth generally speaking with 86.13 places.
Imagine 100% Kona Coffee won the Crown Division for larger mills and farms with a parchment-dried Typica that scored 83.65.
